We're building kitsch stage sets
I just watched the movie Objectified. It was really good. At one point in it, Karim Rashid says this: "We have advanced technologically so far, and yet somehow its almost some sort of paranoia where we're afraid to really say "we live in the 3rd technological revolution". I have an iPod in my pocket, I have a mobile phone, I have a laptop but then somehow I end up going home and sitting on wood spindle whittengail like chairs. So, in a way you could argue that we are building these sort of really kitsch stage sets that have absolutely nothing to do with the age we live in. Its strange, I find it really perverse in some way. "
Me too.
